Miranda Kerr, cover of Rolling Stone's Green Issue Magazine

Miranda Kerr, cover of Rolling Stone's Green Issue Magazine. Supermodel Miranda Kerr gets nude and chained to a tree for the first Green Issue of Australian Rolling Stone.

The 26-year-old shot the cover this January in Sydney, with photographer Carlotta Moye. The shoot even included a real koala named Koral. Kerr is the face of the Australian Koala Foundation’s No Tree, No Me campaign which aims to protect koalas’ natural habitat.

On raising awareness of the environment: “I feel strongly about the need to protect our natural environment because it supports our life - it really is that simple.”

On the Koala Foundation’s ‘No Tree, No Me’ campaign: “It’s a sad thing. There are only about 100,000 koalas left in Australia. Something like 80 percent of the koalas’ habitat has been destroyed since Europeans arrived in Australia.”

On making the cover of Rolling Stone: “Oh it’s incredible. It’s really surreal to be on the cover. Rolling Stone is such an iconic magazine. You know that song, (sings) ‘On the cover of the Rolling Stone’ – that’s just so cool and I’m really happy to be involved in this!”

Miranda’s issue of Rollong Stone goes on sale Wednesday.
