Charice dreams to get first nomination at Grammy Awards

Charice dreams to get first nomination at Grammy Awards. As for her birthday wish, Charice said she hopes to receive her first nomination at the Grammy Awards.

International singing sensation Charice flew to Japan Monday for the launching of her first international album in Tokyo.

Her self-titled album carries “Pyramid,” which ranked No. 1 on the Billboard dance/pop charts, and “Note to God.”

From Tokyo, the 18-year-old singer will proceed to New York City, Canada and Europe to promote her CD and do a series of shows in different cities.

Prior to her album tour abroad, the singer on Sunday night held a show in Makati City.

The 18-year-old Filipino pint-sized singer recently flew home for her and her youngest brother’s baptism and confirmation, an event attended by big local celebrities.

Oprah Winfrey and David Foster were also invited to their baptism, but sent their respective representatives instead.

Both Winfrey and Foster are involved in Charice’s international career.

Charice, who turned 18 on May 10, also had a post-birthday celebration with the less fortunate children.
